Alfa Laval India is looking for a Manager Engineering for its Satara location. The overall purpose of this role Develop and coordinate the unit. Secure that the unit meets short to midterm goals and customer expectations. Actively work with operational interfaces, communicate, and coordinate.

About The Job
The roles and responsibility of this role as below:
- Lead team of design engineers & draughtsman for design & detail engineering of Plate Heat exchangers, Spiral Heat Exchanger & Shell & Compabloc etc.
- Prepare check & review of design calculations.
- Set the departmental objectives
- Attain the Management meetings & prepare departmental strategy to achieve departmental objectives.
- Prepare resource planning & work distribution plan.
- Set KPI’s for individuals & set targets within design/Estimation team.
- Identify & provide recommendations for individuals training requirement.
- Conducting various sessions for different activities for development of individual’s technical knowledge’s, weekly feedback sessions.
- Conduct programs for team building & motivation.
- Check & approve templates of costing sheets for pressure vessels, spiral heat exchangers & Compabloc heat exchanger.
- Check & approve design calculations & fabrication drawings of the equipment’s
- Check & approve estimations/Costing Sheets
- Review and maintain ASME documentations as per quality Manual.
- Coordination with internal as well as external customer & consultant
- Technical support to pre-engineering & marketing team.
- Review & check GA, layout & P&I diagram of the respected projects
- Local Engineering Change coordinator.
- NPD & EPD Projects
- Technical support of Engineering documentation to Lund and Richmond.
- Preorder review of tender documents and raise deviations and support for replying mechanical related technical queries in tender.
- Pressure vessel codes and norms, design calculations
- Hands on design softwares like Pro E / Auto CAD -CAM / Customer Focus / interaction / handshake
- Working with heat exchanger design / engineering Codes
- Working with TPI agencies
- Project management / costing What you can be?
- B. E Mechanical / Chemical or Master of engineering. with 8 – 10 years’ experience / 2-3 Years in Managerial Experience in design & estimating of equipment such as boilers,pressure,process equipments,reactors etc.
- Knowledge of ASME,TEMA, PED,API, etc.
- Handful experience of using software’s like PV-Elite,Auto CAD ,MATHCAD,CADM,Inventor.
- Have exposure to ASTM materials & its selection.
- Nozzle loading analysis as per WRC 107 and WRC297.
- Wind and Seismic analysis as per code like IS875,ASCE,UBC,EN2010 etc.
- Product Knowledge.
- MS Office.
