Fabheads Automation is a fast growing startup in the field of manufacturing automation. We are founded by IIT alumni and Ex-ISRO engineers. We have indigenously developed India’s first Carbon Fiber 3D printer. We provide printers and services to Aerospace, defence, drones and other high performance sectors. We have been awarded Startup of the year, 2020 in Industry 4.0 sector. We have won several accolades from Defense and Industry forums, and are working on some very exciting projects which have never been done before by Indian Startups.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly-motivated and experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for leading mechanical design efforts across a range of projects. You will be expected to have a firm grasp of every element required for mechanical product development, including architecture, concept generation, design (CAD), analysis, prototyping, test/verification, and transition to manufacturing partners. In some cases, you will lead junior engineers and consultants to help accelerate the development process. You must be able to work well in multi-disciplinary teams consisting of mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers. Familiarity with electrical engineering and software development principles will be beneficial. Your typical day-to-day activities will include CAD design, FEA analysis, Drawing creation, Tolerance analysis, Design for Manufacturability/Assembly/Test and constantly working to ensure subsystems work together to achieve the end goal of printing amazing parts.

Job Role

• System-level design and development of dynamic machines
• Contribute to product development at all stages of the product life cycle, from early concept through production and sustaining
• Be a leader within the engineering department advocating for best practices, driving cross functional collaboration and continuous improvement of designs, processes and tools
• Perform design validation to ensure the functionality of the designs.
• Testing of mechanisms using Rapid Prototyping Methods like 3D Printing

Professional Requirement

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical system design and development
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical or equivalent

Skills

• Good analytical skills
• Experience of working in team projects
• Proficient in Technical Communication
• Hands-on experience with 3D Printing
• Experience with any 3D Modelling and CAD Software
